Crumpling national economies raise fears of another world war, but there are other powers working in secret, developing their own agendas. Their actions catch everyone off-guard. Being alone, becomes a different matter when there is no longer a choice.
For Mary, finding out about her aboriginal heritage leads her into a wilderness experience of her own. She is, however, never really alone. Mary has to struggle against formidable odds just to survive, but more is required of her than just survival.
